KCCU

This is the "keyboard-cursor control unit" that replaces the ABC keyboard on the good old MCDU, among other things. Basically straight-forward, just make a keyboard and install a trackball... watch this space for progress. This is also a fairly low-priority item as I have no idea how the real unit is operated, so we can't simulate it in software anyway.

RMP

This is the "radio management panel", a combination of the traditional radio panel and audio selector panel, and also has some ACARS features, and lets you set the transponder as well. Since the size is very much like that of an MCDU, I guess a PSOne LCD will do just fine as the display. I really want to get the controls right, however, which presents a bit of a problem. Once again, a German surplus dealer has some ALPS potentiometer with a push-push retractable axle which looks just like it's made for the job. Unfortunately, there is no switch associated with it, so I'll have to add a microswitch to each of the dials to detect receiver selection. Also, there is a centre detent, which I may decide to remove with a bit of work before installing the potentiometer. Oh, why do we bother so much with an RMP? Because I want to fly this thing with online ATC!
